Agreement for Terms and Conditions of Use for Islander Car Rental

At the time of the contract, please present your driver's license.

Driving by individuals who have not presented their driver's license at the time of contract is not covered by insurance and is therefore prohibited. Please adhere to road traffic laws and absolutely do not park on the street in no-parking zones.

Please refrain from obstructing the operation of the bus service. (Note: The Kominato Kaigan bus rotary is a no-parking area.) All public parking lots on the island are free of charge, so please be sure to use the parking facilities.

If you are unable to return the vehicle within the contracted time, please be sure to contact our company and request an extension.
Depending on the next reservation schedule, extensions may not be possible.
In the case of unauthorized extensions, we may request compensation for business losses.

When you return the item, please be sure to contact our company.
Please note that returning the vehicle must be done in the presence of our staff, so drop-offs are not allowed.

The vehicle will be rented out with a full tank of gasoline, so please return it with a full tank as well. If you do not return it with a full tank, we will charge you the designated fuel cost based on the distance driven.

Additionally, charges will be calculated at actual cost for times outside of gas station operating hours and on holidays.

Operating hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM (closed on Sundays and public holidays)

There is no roadside assistance (JAF) in the Ogasawara Islands, so in the event of any vehicle trouble, regardless of its size, please contact our company first. There will be an additional service fee for dispatch.

Insurance does not cover issues such as tire punctures and bursts, lost wheel caps, locked keys, lost keys, and battery failures due to negligence in use or management, and these will be settled at actual cost.

Additionally, if fishing bait (such as shrimp) or fish juice is spilled inside the vehicle, or if there is smoking inside the vehicle or if pets are brought along causing dirt or odor, a penalty fee of ¥30,000 will be charged.

All of our rental cars are non-smoking vehicles. If smoking is detected, a penalty fee of ¥30,000 will be charged.

Please install and verify child safety seats and other child restraint devices yourself, and use them safely. (This applies only to those using child safety seats.)
