Rental Process

1. Reserve your Rental Car!

Reservations are accepted only through the website or at the store. During peak periods like summer vacations or Golden Week, it is advisable to make your reservation well in advance. Reservations can be made up to 1 hour before departure through the website or at the store.

When making a reservation, you need to choose a car. UMUI Rent-a-Car classifies cars by type, and the charges vary based on the class and duration of use.

Options

We offer various options such as child seats and NOC coverage. For details on NOC coverage, please refer to here.

Cancellation Fees

  • 7 days before the reserved date: Free
  • 6 to 3 days before the reserved date: 20% of the basic fee
  • 2 days before to the day before the reserved date: 30% of the basic fee
  • On the reserved date: 50% of the basic fee

2. Departure

Please arrive at the store at your reservation time. If not at the store, please come to the specified location.

Items to prepare on the day

  • A valid driver's license for all drivers (rental is not possible without the actual license)
  • The credit card, QR code payment, electronic money, etc., to be used for payment (Cash payment is not accepted. Those who have already paid through online reservation can skip this step)

Departure procedure

  1. Upon arrival at the store, inform the staff of your name.
  2. Confirm the reservation details and sign the rental agreement. If multiple people will be driving, we also require the names, signatures, and license confirmation of all individuals on the rental agreement.
  3. Prepay the expected rental amount. (Cash payment is not accepted. Those who have already paid through online reservation can skip this step)

3. Return

Please return to the return store by the scheduled return time.

Refuel (gasoline) at a gas station within a 2km radius of the return store and return the car with a full tank. Please present the refueling receipt (receipt) to the store.

Settlements during return

Excess charge: If you exceed the scheduled return time, excess charges specified in the price list will apply. If you need to change the scheduled return time, please contact the store in advance. ※ We may refuse changes depending on the condition of the rented vehicle.

 

Fuel: If you cannot return the car with a full tank due to unavoidable circumstances, we will settle based on the distance calculation specified separately. Please note that in this case, the settlement will be higher than the actual refueling amount.
