Please make sure you hold a driver’s license that is valid for use in Japan before making a reservation.

If you are unable to present a valid driver’s license and the required documents for driving in Japan, we will not be able to proceed with the rental. In such cases, cancellations and refunds will not be accepted.

- To drive in Japan, you must hold an International Driving Permit (IDP) issued in accordance with the 1949 Geneva Convention format.
At the time of rental, you will be required to present both your original IDP and your passport.

- If your driver’s license was issued in Taiwan, Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, or Monaco, you must present your original domestic driver’s license together with an official Japanese translation issued by a designated authority.
Your passport will also be required at the time of rental.
